Past research has predominantly focused on kinlessness in Western contexts, neglecting regions facing similar demographic challenges such as Asia. We propose a two-day workshop on aging with limited family ties from a cross-national perspective. Additionally, we will organize and edit a journal special issue on the multifaceted aspects of limited family ties and their consequences on well-being. Our team, with research expertise and a proven track record in convening conferences and editorial experiences, will lead these efforts.

Project’s Team

Principal Investigator

Associate Professor Bussarawan (Puk) Teerawichitchainan
CFPR Co-Director
Department of Sociology and Anthropology
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
National University of Singapore

      Profile

Contact Us

Principal Investigator: Associate Professor Bussarawan (Puk) Teerawichitchainan Email: puk@nus.edu.sg

Address:
Centre for Family and Population Research
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
National University of Singapore
The Shaw Foundation Building
Block AS7, Level 3, 5 Arts Link
Singapore 117570

Cross-National Perspectives on Aging with Limited Family Ties Project’s Details Title: Cross-National Perspectives on Aging with Limited Family Ties Funded by: MOE Tier 1 Amount: S$25,000 PI: Associate Professor Bussarawan (Puk) Teerawichitchainan, Department of Sociology and Anthropology;
