This structured, three-phase initiative is designed to advance the teaching and assessment of listening proficiency through expert-led training and international collaboration.<\/p>\n<h4>Phase 1: Foundational Workshop on ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines<\/h4>\n<p><strong>December 2025\/ \u00a0Hybrid <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This exclusive pre-training workshop is customised for CLS educators to build a strong foundational understanding of the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) guidelines, with a special focus on listening instruction and assessment.<\/p>\n<h4>Phase 2: Expert-Led Training in Materials Development<\/h4>\n<p><b>18-20 September 2026 (Fri-Sun) \/ In-Person<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This intensive three-day training session offers hands-on, expert-led instruction in creating effective listening materials. The programme is informed by proficiency-based principles and technology-enhanced pedagogies. We look forward to welcoming educators from CLS, the Southeast Asian Languages Council (SEALC), and other institutions across Asia and beyond.<\/p>\n<h4>Phase 3: International Symposium for Knowledge Sharing &amp; Collaboration<\/h4>\n<p><strong>December 2026\/ In-Person <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Serving as the capstone event of the programme, this two-day symposium will be held as part of CLaSIC 2026, the Centre&#8217;s renowned biennial international conference.
