Students will also acquire a better grasp of learning and communicative strategies (e.g. skimming, selective reading, reading for details, inferencing and mnemonic techniques etc.). It will continue to adopt an integrated approach to language learning and cultivate students&#8217; proficiency in all areas of language learning, including their learning competence. They will also acquire the ability to express their views and communicate meaningfully on the same topics at greater length, both in writing and orally. In the area of grammar and vocabulary, the focus will shift more towards textlinguistic and pragmatic features.
