There are no pre-requisites or qualifying test for Level 1000 language courses. But these courses are meant only for students without any prior knowledge. Those who have learned the language through formal and informal means (incl. through external courses, self-study or an extended stay in the target language country) must contact CLS to take a placement test.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Students may face disciplinary action by the University for making a false declaration.<\/p>\r\n

LAL2201 Tamil 2<\/h4>\r\n

This course is a follow up to and continuation of Tamil 1. By the end of the course, students are expected to have a good grammatical understanding of the Tamil language and to have a vocabulary which makes it possible for them to handle all four aspects in Tamil language learning (speaking, listening, reading and writing) with ease and effectiveness. There will be an introduction to features of idiomatic Tamil and to everyday usages. Students will be able to write short compositions and letters and to read newspaper articles, stories and short poems.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
