The course aims to expose learners to the language of the Malays as spoken in Singapore and Malaysia.\u00a0 It is meant as an introductory course to basic phrases and expressions.<\/p>\n

At the end of the course, the participants can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases to introduce themselves and others, and ask and answer simple questions such as: where they live, where they come from, what and what kind of things they have. Can communicate in a simple way slowly and clearly.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tPre-requisites\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Each course of content comprises some 30 hours, incorporating assessments and assignments. There will be an assessment (pass or fail) set for students to gauge their ability and readiness to continue onto the next higher level.<\/p>\n

This course is a continuation from Conversational Malay 1. With expanded vocabulary and more scenario-based settings, learners can further develop their language proficiency and communicative skills. Through increased exposure to the Malay language and participation, learners will be able to understand better and express themselves more fluently.<\/p>\n

At the end of the course, learners will be able to describe in more detail their belongings, immediate relations and surroundings. They will also be able to articulate simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine everyday matters presented at this level.<\/p>\n
