Graduate Culture

The department has a very vibrant graduate research culture. Outside of coursework, students participate actively in research-related activities such as attending seminars and workshops. Collaboration with faculty members and fellow graduate schoolmates on research projects are also very common and highly encouraged.

Some of the top peer-reviewed journals our graduate students have published in include New Media & Society, Telematics and Informatics, Media, Culture & Society, Health Communication, Social Science Computer Review, Public Relations Review, Public Understanding of Science, and PLOS ONE.
