Application Information
To apply for any of the graduate programmes, applicants should prepare the following documents as part of their application:
- Undergraduate and graduate transcripts
- TOEFL report or IELTS report (native English speakers can apply for a waiver)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Research proposal of approximately 1000 words
A well-written research proposal is very important for the review process. It should indicate the proposed area and topic of research, indicating knowledge of work done in that field, intended methodology, and a brief bibliography.
Important note: The University has not engaged any external agencies to undertake graduate student recruitment on its behalf. Candidates interested in our graduate programmes are advised to apply directly to the University and not through any agents. Candidates who apply through agents will not have any added advantage in gaining admission and the University reserves the right to reject such applications without giving reasons.
Application Deadlines
The department offers only one intake in Semester One (August) in each academic year for all graduate programmes.
Applications open on 16th May in the year preceding the intake and closes on 1st November in the year preceding the intake. Applications received after the deadline will be considered for the next intake.
Outcome of applications will be made known by 31st May of the year of intake.

Each application must be accompanied by an application fee of S$50.00 (inclusive of GST), which is not refundable.
