Frequently Asked Questions<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\tHow does CNM Professional Certificates and Short Courses work?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The Department of Communications and New Media (CNM) offers a series of short courses which last between 1 to 5 days.<\/p>\n

CNM has curated three Professional Certificates in Design Thinking, Digital Storytelling, and Media Communication. Each of these Professional Certificate programmes are constituted by a number of short courses. Completion of relevant short courses entitle students to said certificate.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat is the requirement to be awarded the Professional Certificates?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Students must complete and pass the short courses which constitute the Professional Certificate programme.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhen are the Short Courses offered?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

CNM offers Short Courses periodically all-year round, with an aim to offer each course at least twice a year (subject to demand).<\/p>\n

Each Short Course are charged different fees depending on their duration. All Short Courses are entitled to SSG funding.<\/p>\n

Before Application<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\tIs there any application fee?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

There is no application fee.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tHow can I apply?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Interested students may apply through the NUS Online Application Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You will be prompted to identify yourself; pick the most appropriate choice within the drop-down list.<\/p>\n

You will then be able to find the course(s) of your interest under “Short Course \/ Modular Course.”<\/p>\n

After Application<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhen will I be notified of my application outcome?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The course will be confirmed at least 1 week before its commencement date.<\/p>\n

You will receive an automated email offer which details and instructions for acceptance.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat are the next steps after I have received my offer?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

You will receive an automated email offer once the course has been confirmed. You will need to accept or decline by the stipulated deadline.<\/p>\n

If you do not accept the offer by the given deadline, you will be assumed to have declined the offer.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat do I do after accepting the offer?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

You will receive an email with an invitation to set up an account with NUS’ learning platform, LumiNUS.<\/p>\n

You will also be asked to complete a pre-course survey before the first day of the class.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat is the policy on withdrawal and refund?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\tAny request to withdraw from a confirmed course must be received in writing.
\nThe refund policy for withdrawal is as follows:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Completion of short courses<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat certificate will I receive upon completion of the short course(s)?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Students who are eligible to receive certificates will be able to download and print e-Certificates via Accredible<\/a>. Credentials issued on Accredible are for life.<\/p>\n
