The conference comprised 3 segments:<\/p>\n26 July &#8211; Graduate Conference: 1 keynote, 2 plenaries<br \/>\n27 July &#8211; Cultural Studies in Singapore Conference: 1 welcome address &amp; opening roundtable, 2 plenaries<br \/>\n28-30 July &#8211; Main IACSS Conference: 1 keynote, 7 plenaries, General Assembly\n<p>Total: 14 live-stream keynotes and plenaries, General Assembly<\/p>\n<strong>Conference Programmes<br \/>\n<\/strong>As a first-ever virtual conference, the IACSS Conference was designed as a hybrid conference constituting both live-streamed and pre-recorded presentations that comprised pre-constituted panels individual papers and roundtables. Both live-streamed and pre-recorded presentations were hosted on the website, which featured user-friendly navigation for conference participants. Everyone had access and could participate in the presentations hosted in the Auditorium and Conference Hall, where the live sessions (plenaries and keynotes) and pre-recorded presentations could be accessed respectively.\n<figure id=\"attachment_1132\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1132\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/cnmcrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2021\/11\/Lobby-Inter-Asia-Cultural-Studies-Society-IACSS-Conference-2021-300x134.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"268\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1132\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">IACSS Website, Main Conference Lobby\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1130\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1130\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/cnmcrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2021\/11\/Lobby-Conference-Hall-and-Auditorium-Inter-Asia-Cultural-Studies-Society-IACSS-Conference-2021-300x134.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"268\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1130\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Auditorium and Conference Hall, for Live-Stream and Pre-Recorded Presentations<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<strong>Live Plenaries @ Auditorium<br \/>\n<\/strong>There were a total of 14 plenaries and keynotes for the conference, with a live audience and Q&amp;A hosted daily in the Auditorium.\u00a0Plenaries for the Main IACSS Conference featured topics such as:\n<ul>\n<li>De-globalization<\/li>\n<li>China in Transition<\/li>\n<li>Digital Cultures\/Futures<\/li>\n<li>Trans Lives in the Pandemic Age<\/li>\n<li>Youth Movements in Asia under Crises<\/li>\n<li>Inter-Asia Cultural Studies in the Future Tense<\/li>\n<li>Global Rankings and the Culture of Knowledge Production<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/cnmcrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2021\/11\/Screen-Shot-2021-12-07-at-6.27.49-PM-196x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"528\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/cnmcrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2021\/11\/Screen-Shot-2021-12-07-at-6.29.09-PM-258x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"393\" height=\"456\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Keynotes and IACSS General Assembly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each segment of the conference opened with a keynote address and featured special programmes such as the Publication Base Camp for the Graduate Conference and a Closing Roundtable for the IACSS Conference.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/cnmcrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2021\/11\/Screen-Shot-2021-12-07-at-6.44.08-PM-300x177.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"501\" height=\"295\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/cnmcrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2021\/11\/Screen-Shot-2021-12-07-at-6.31.00-PM-288x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"354\" height=\"369\" \/><\/p>\n<strong>Pre-recorded Presentations @ Conference Hall<br \/>\n<\/strong>The virtual conference also featured pre-recorded presentations from the call for papers, hosted in the Conference Hall for all participants. These are pre-recorded video presentations that could be viewed a week before the conference began. These sessions were hosted in the Lounge and offered intimate gatherings of discussions on the different pre-recorded presentations.
