It consists of Common Core Courses, Integrated Courses and Interdisciplinary Courses. Most Common Core and Integrated Courses will be pre-allocated to you, along with the Gateway Course for your declared first major. Please refer here for further information.

 Double-Counting Courses

Double-counting simply means that you are using a course parked in your first Major/CHS requirements for your second Major or Minor. The course will count to requirements on both sides but still only add 4 units (UTs) to your total UTs. The total UTs required to graduate with Honours is 160UTs. You cannot graduate with less than 160UTs and will need to read courses to make up for any that are double-counted. The double-counting limit is 16UTs for a second Major, and 8UTs for a Minor. Please note that no triple-counting is allowed. In other words, a course cannot be used for the CHS Common Curriculum/First Major, and a Minor and a Second Major, or two Minors. If you have a course (Course X) that is eligible for the CHS Common Curriculum, your First major and your 2nd Major/Minor, you can only count Course X to 2 of those baskets and then read an alternative course for the 3rd basket.

More details can be found here. (You will need to login with your NUSNET ID.)

 Sample Study Plans

Departmental major and minor course combinations and sample study plans will be updated soon. Please note that this is different from a double major (first major & second major combination), which does not require special approval under most circumstances. Students who choose to take up the DDP and meet the necessary criteria can graduate with two honours degrees instead of one (two degree scrolls). Please note that students who do so may not be able to graduate within four years with a regular course load.

CHS-DDP Details

NUS DDP Framework

Academic Matters CHS Common Curriculum Courses The CHS Common Curriculum is a graduation requirement for all CHS students.
