Students will graduate with a B.A. Honours in Chinese Languages and Cultures or Chinese Studies (Bilingual).<\/p>\n<p>For students from Cohort 2025 or earlier, Chinese Studies and Chinese Language are offered as two separate specialisations. The B.A. Honours programme in Chinese Studies is available to students who have read either Chinese Studies or Chinese Language as their single major or first major. Students will graduate with a B.A. Honours in Chinese Studies.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-tabs--label-0\" data-index=\"0\" aria-selected=\"true\" aria-controls=\"fl-tabs--panel-0\" aria-expanded=\"true\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"0\">\t\t\t\tChinese Languages and Cultures\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-tabs--label-1\" data-index=\"1\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-tabs--panel-1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"0\">\t\t\t\tChinese Studies (Bilingual)\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-tabs--label-2\" data-index=\"2\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-tabs--panel-2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"0\">\t\t\t\tChinese Studies\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-tabs--label-3\" data-index=\"3\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-tabs--panel-3\" aria-expanded=\"false\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"0\">\t\t\t\tChinese Language\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tChinese Languages and Cultures\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Chinese Languages and Cultures (CL) Single Major [B.A. (Hons)] (Cohort 2026 Onwards)<\/h4>\n<p>Pass at least 60 units of CL or CL-recognised courses which include the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>CL1101E<\/li>\n<li>CL2110<\/li>\n<li>CL2111<\/li>\n<li>CL2120<\/li>\n<li>CL2130<\/li>\n<li>CL3110<\/li>\n<li>CL2211 or CL2221 or CL2231 or CL2240 or CL3312<\/li>\n<li>a minimum of 28 units at level-3000 (including CL3110 and CL3312) or higher, with<br \/>\na) a minimum of 12 units at level-4000 or higher<br \/>\nb) a maximum of 2 CH level-5000 courses (subject to department&#8217;s approval)<\/li>\n<li>a maximum of 8 units of CL-recognised courses<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tChinese Studies (Bilingual)\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Chinese Studies (Bilingual) (CH) Single Major [B.A. (Hons)] (Cohort 2026 Onwards)<\/h4>\n<p>Pass at least 60 units of CH or CH-recognised courses which include the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>CH1101E<\/li>\n<li>CH2110<\/li>\n<li>CH2111 or CL3110<\/li>\n<li>TRA2111<\/li>\n<li>a minimum of 28 units at level-3000 (including CL3110) or higher, with<br \/>\na) a minimum of 12 units at level-4000 or higher,<br \/>\nb) a maximum of 2 CH level-5000 courses (subject to department&#8217;s approval)<\/li>\n<li>a maximum of 8 units of CH-recognised courses (excluding CL, INT and TRA recognised courses) *<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>* The exclusion of CL, INT and TRA courses in (6) is to allow and encourage students to read and count more than 8 units of these courses towards the major.
