The B.A. Honours programme in Chinese Studies is available to students who have read either Chinese Studies or Chinese Language as a single major or first major.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: B.A. without Honours is no longer offered from Cohort 2021 onwards.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-tabs--label-0\" data-index=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-tabs--panel-0\" aria-expanded=\"true\" role=\"tab\">\t\t\t\t Chinese Studies\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-tabs--label-1\" data-index=\"1\" aria-controls=\"fl-tabs--panel-1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" role=\"tab\">\t\t\t\tChinese Language\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t Chinese Studies\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Chinese Studies (CH) Single Major [B.A.] (Cohort 2016 to 2020)<\/h4>\nI. Pass CH1101E. This will be counted towards the Faculty Core or UE requirements.<br \/>\nII. Pass at least 44 units of CH or CH-recognised courses which include the following:\n<ol>\n<li>CH2121<\/li>\n<li>CH2141<\/li>\n<li>CH2161<\/li>\n<li>CL2101<\/li>\n<li>CL2104 or CL3104<\/li>\n<li>CH2162 or CH2221 or CH2243 or CH2252<\/li>\n<li>a minimum of 20 units at level-3000 or higher (see note 1), with<\/li>\n<li>a maximum of 9 units (in total) of the following:<br \/>\na) CH-recognised courses (excluding CL2101, CL2104 and CL3104)<br \/>\nb) CH courses that are taught in English (see note 2)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\nNote 1: Students are allowed to read a maximum of 2 level-5000 courses, subject to department&#8217;s approval.<br \/>\nNote 2: CH course codes with 3rd-digit &#8216;9&#8217; are taught in English.\n<p>Programme is expected to be completed within 3 academic years. Each academic year consists of two regular semesters and two optional Special Terms. Students can enrich their learning experience by spending a semester on student exchange or internship. Besides this, local\/overseas fieldtrips are organized for a practical approach to the curriculum.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>To Note<br \/>\n<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Students are allowed to read level-4000 CH courses subject to department&#8217;s approval.<\/li>\n<li>CH and CL course codes with 3rd-digit &#8216;9&#8217; are taught in English.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>*All courses are offered as electives for students from other departments\/programmes. Not all courses are necessarily available in any given year.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tChinese Language\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Chinese Language (CL) Single Major [B.A.] (Cohort 2016 to 2020)<\/h4>\nI.
