The appointment comes with annual research support. Alberto Salvo joined the department as an Associate Professor in 2013. His research areas are environmental and energy economics, industrial organisation and applied microeconomics. \u00a0He studies how the behaviour and incentives of economic agents, such as households, workers, and firms, interact with scarce environmental resources, such as air and water. Several current projects relate to households\u2019 awareness of the climate crisis, carbon literacy, and individual action.<\/p>\r\n<p>To foster a more carbon-conscious society, he is currently advocating that Singapore trial the implementation of personal carbon scorecards, to cover three consumption domains (urban travel, home utilities, and food).
