The ATEA is a university-level award, awarded to faculty members who have displayed a high level of commitment to their teaching for the year under review. Dr. Ong is a senior lecturer in the department. She teaches introductory microeconomics, labour economics and the economics of inequality.<\/p>\r\n<p>In addition, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences awarded Dr. Ong and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/ecs\/people\/chua-yeow-hwee\/\"><strong>Mr Chua Yeow Hwee<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0the Faculty Teaching Excellence Award for the 2018\/2019 academic year. Mr Chua is an instructor in the department.
