We are consistently ranked as the best Economics Department in Asia and among the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topuniversities.com\/university-subject-rankings\/economics-econometrics?page=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">top 20<\/a> in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The Department offers the following programs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/ecs\/master-of-economics\/\">Master of Economics<\/a> is a taught masters program that can be completed in one to one and a half years. This program has two tracks: the career-oriented Applied Economics track and an academic-focused Quantitative Economics track.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/ecs\/master-of-social-sciences-research\/\">Master of Social Sciences (Research)<\/a> is a masters program with both taught and research components, which typically takes two years to complete. Many graduates from this program go on to pursue further studies in economics at NUS or elsewhere.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/ecs\/doctor-of-philosophy-economics\/\">PhD in Economics<\/a> is a research degree that usually takes four to six years to complete.
