Building on the Department&#8217;s strengths in applied economics, the centre aims to produce rigorous and timely research relevant to public policy in Singapore and Asia.<\/p>\n<p>SCAPE also serves as a focal point of the local economic policy research network. By organizing joint workshops and facilitating collaborative ventures, the centre brings together economists working in academia, government, and local think tanks. In a field experiment conducted by Jie Gong and I.P.L. They include AI transformation, climate and environmental changes, demographic changes, natural\u00a0disasters\u00a0and health related challenges.\u00a0All of\u00a0these challenges can shape the future of East Asian Economies in many ways. How these challenges will affect growth and welfare of East Asian Economies will be the key concern of this symposium.
