The\u00a02024 Conference on Mechanism and Institution Design will be hosted at Corvinus University of Budapest, organised by Peter Biro (https:\/\/kti.krtk.hu\/en\/kutatok\/peter-biro\/235\/<\/a>) and his Mechanism Design research group at Institute of Economics, KRTK. The specific dates will be announced later.<\/p>\n

We would like to warmly welcome every participant to the 2022 Conference on Mechanism and Institution Design! Please allow us to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their strong support. Without your contribution, the conference would not be possible.<\/p>\n

The 5-day conference has 73 sessions with a total of 245 presentations, including 4 keynote lectures. We hope that everyone will find the conference enjoyable and productive.<\/p>\n

When the Society approached us in 2019 regarding the possibility of hosting the conference in 2022, no one could foresee that the conference would eventually be held in a completely different format from a typical in-person conference we all are used to. We sincerely apologize to those who originally planned to attend the conference in person. We hope that we will have opportunities to host you physically in the future.<\/p>\n

Local Organizers<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tAbout the Conference\n

The theme of the conference is on mechanism and institution design, interpreted in a general sense. The conference welcomes papers in all areas of economics, finance, information system, and politics, etc., which are related to mechanisms and institutions. The topics include but are not limited to game theory and foundations, asymmetric information, mechanism design, market design, information design, market and equilibrium, assignments, auctions, contests, bargaining, matching, college admission, election schemes, political institutions, sustainability, public good provision, nonlinear pricing, law and litigation, voting, sports, economic reform, comparative economics, regulation, taxation schemes, school choice, governance, corporate finance, cryptocurrency, financial institutions, capital structure, incentives in labor market, social choice, information and learning, decision theory, platform, network, etc. Papers can be theoretical, empirical, experimental, or historical. Young economists including senior PhD students are encouraged to submit their papers.<\/p>\n

Based on the feedback from the session organizers and individual submitters, we decide to hold the conference fully online this time.<\/p>\n

The biannual conference is under the umbrella of The Society for the Promotion of Mechanism and Institution Design (SPMiD).<\/a><\/p>\n\t\t\t\tPaper Submission\n

The Department of Economics, National University of Singapore will be hosting 2022 Conference on Mechanism and Institution Design from July 11th to 15th, 2022 at Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore.<\/p>\n

2022 Conference on Mechanism and Institution Design<\/a><\/p>\n

At the end of the program webpage, there is a list of all participants and their roles (presenter or chair) in the conference. Clicking on a role would lead to the corresponding session and allocated time slot. Then click on the session title, the breakout room information shows up.<\/p>\n

All session will use the same Zoom link. After you join the Zoom Conference, you are in the main room and you will see the information of a list of ongoing sessions, including the breakout room numbers. At the bottom of the main room, there is a button which you can click on to join a breakout room. If you want to switch to another breakout room, you need to release the current breakout room, and go back to the main room.<\/p>\n

The title of your accepted paper and your Paper ID are available from the acceptance letter. You will need these information when you register.<\/p>\n
