Book Launch: ‘Singapore Ageing – Issues and Challenges Ahead’ on 11 April 2023

A new book on the ageing population in Singapore was launched on 11th April at NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House Auditorium by the guest of honour for the event --Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. “Singapore Ageing – Issues and Challenges Ahead” is co-edited by Emeritus Professor S Vasoo, Associate Professor Bilveer Singh and Associate Professor Srinivasan Chokkanathan, who are from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in NUS.
“Singapore Ageing – Issues and Challenges Ahead” looks at some of the pertinent issues and challenges that will be faced by our ageing population from a social, political, healthcare perspective. Topics such as digitalisation, Information technology and end of life issues are also discussed by the book contributors which comprise of academics, researchers and practitioners from the social service and care sectors.
The event was supported by the NUS Department of Social Work, Department of Political Science and the Ee Peng Liang Memorial Fund.
