I am a Ph.D. in linguistics specializing in language variation and language acquisition in bilingual contexts at the Department of English Language & Literature at the National University of Singapore (NUS). My current research is on the language choice in candidates\u2019 speech during Singapore General Election 2020 from a variationist perspective.<\/p>\n

I received my M.A. in English Language and Linguistics from NUS in 2018 and I earned my B.A. in English Language and Literature from Zhejiang University in 2013.<\/p>\n

In 2016, I joined the exchange programme in Harvard University to read Introduction to Linguistics and the Art of Communication.<\/p>\n

I worked with Dr. Michael Yoshitaka Erlewine as a Research Assistant at NUS during the summer in 2017 on \u201cConstruct and evaluate example sentences in Mandarin Chinese\u201d.<\/p>\n

I am also a certified teacher of Chinese to speakers of other languages by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (2017).<\/p>\n\t\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
