\"\"Hi, I am Qingyu. a PhD student in English Language and Linguistics in NUS. I did my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Applied Translation Studies (First Class) in 2023 at the Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC). I obtained my Master of Arts in English Language and Linguistics from NUS. My research interests primarily lie in linguistic anthropology, sociolinguistics and discourse analysis. I’m interested in using (post)structuralist theories and ethnographically informed methods to investigate how everyday sociolinguistic and semiotic phenomena are entangled with consumer culture and identity politics, such as ones related to socioeconomic class and gender and sexuality.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\t\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
