(Cohort 2019 to Cohort 2020)\t<\/h3>\n<h4>\n\t\t\tGraduation Requirements\t<\/h4>\n\t<p>To major in English Language, students need to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pass EL1101E The Nature of Language. This will be counted towards the Faculty Core or UE requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Pass at least 36 units of EL or EL-recognised courses which include the following:<br \/>\n(1) \u00a0EL2101 Structure of Sentences and Meanings<br \/>\n(2) \u00a0EL2102 Sound Patterns in Language<br \/>\n(3) \u00a0EL2111 Historical Variation in English<br \/>\n(4) \u00a0EL2151 Social Variation in English<br \/>\n(5)
