Using computer hardware and GIS software, we can display, query, analyse, and interpret geospatial data in visual ways, revealing patterns and relationships in the geographic world. GIS enables us to understand what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen in geographic space. Geospatial science has become increasingly important in developing solutions to global challenges such as sustainability, food security, healthcare management, and even rapid urbanisation, among others, particularly with advancements in technologies like satellite systems and GPS-enabled devices.<\/p>\n
\n
\n
\n
Note: All new participants who wish to attain the Professional Certificate should follow the course sequence starting with this course, and complete the programme within this upcoming cycle, as the curriculum will be revamped after the cycle completes in May 2027.
