Using computer hardware and GIS software, we can display, query, analyse, and interpret geospatial data in visual ways, revealing patterns and relationships in the geographic world. GIS enables us to understand what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen in geographic space. Geospatial science has become increasingly important in developing solutions to global challenges such as sustainability, food security, healthcare management, and even rapid urbanisation, among others, particularly with advancements in technologies like satellite systems and GPS-enabled devices.

       Register Now

User Guide for Learners (Individual Applicants/Non-Company Sponsored)

       User Guide for Company
(Company-Sponsored Applicants)

What You Will Learn

This short course covers the following components:

Spatial Reference and Coordinate Systems

Geometric Transformation

Spatial Database, Spatial Information Digitisation, and Spatial Data Processing and Management

Objectives
Students will gain knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data handling.
