The Politics, Economies And Space (PEAS) research group brings together geographers exploring the political, economic, and ecological dimensions of spatial transformation. Our work traverses economic and financial geographies, political ecology, critical geopolitics, and urban politics, advancing theoretical and empirical insights into how power and economy are organised through space.<\/p>\n

Situated at the crossroads of Southeast Asia and the wider East Asian region, Singapore offers an exceptional vantage point for studying the intersections of politics, economy, and space. PEAS researchers actively draw on this regional embeddedness to engage with pressing urban, environmental, and geopolitical issues, while simultaneously contributing to and influencing theoretical debates that advance human geography and allied disciplines.<\/p>\n

Members of PEAS are deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of scholars. We warmly welcome inquiries from prospective graduate students who wish to pursue research aligned with our areas of expertise.
