Prior to the 10-day trip to Ecuador, students\u00a0 enrolled in a UROP course run by <a href=\"https:\/\/discovery.nus.edu.sg\/3772-george-radics\">Dr George Radics<\/a> in January 2026. Through the UROP, students explored Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13: \u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00adClimate Action within the Singaporean context, and worked with Cornell and USFQ students to co-create a podcast on the policies and progress made towards the respective SDGs selected by the three universities. During recess week, students travelled to Ecuador with <a href=\"https:\/\/discovery.nus.edu.sg\/27954-swaroopa-lahiri\">Dr Swaroopa Lahiri<\/a>. There NUS students had the opportunity to connect with their USFQ peers, learn about their educational experiences, and explore SDG 13 in the Ecuadorian context through field visits to local community projects, a reforestation initiative, a cloud forest station, and the Interpretation Center in the Gal\u00e1pagos Islands.
