It contributes directly to NUS\u2019 vision of becoming a leading global university centred in Asia.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tOur Mission is:\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<ol>\n<li>To nurture and bring together the best social scientific researchers in NUS in order to advance new and innovative ideas that can make the highest scholarly impact on different research fields in social science disciplines, and to conduct novel empirical studies illuminating the changing nature and organization of global production in East Asia;<\/li>\n<li>To place NUS at the forefront of emerging research into global production by engaging with related research institutions and top researchers elsewhere; and<\/li>\n<li>To seek and sustain links with wider stakeholders in government, business, and society for the public dissemination of cutting-edge and relevant research findings and the continuous pursuit of future funding for the Centre.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vision and Mission Our Vision To develop this Research Centre into the world\u2019s leading academic centre for the study of global production and economic development, with a particular focus on East Asia.
