Reading Things Through the Lens of Connections

Abstract

The "lens of connection" here refers not only to a camera lens but also serves as a metaphor for capturing things that cannot be seen directly by the human eye—such as life experiences in connection with others, the relationship between performer and audience, and the interaction between people and space. These lenses might offer new insight of reading things.

During the lecture, he will introduce projects in Tokyo with a video featuring the seismic retrofit project titled "4 episodes", as well as architectural projects by his former students from the Department of Architecture at NUS, while also discussing the perspectives from which these projects and videos were created. What kinds of connections can be revealed when viewed through the "lens of connection"?
