Li Chongjing is an M.A. student. She majored in Japanese at Southeast University in China, where she did her undergraduate thesis on the interaction within Japanese live streaming. She participated in the HUSTEP program at Hokkaido University for one semester, during which she had the first glimpse into the real Japanese daily life and culture. Her current research interest lies in Japanese media and popular culture, especially Idol culture, cross-dressing, and television programs. In terms of sports, she loves playing table tennis and Taichi. Besides, she also plays Shakuhachi (a Japanese traditional musical instrument) and Chinese flute in her free time.
