Singapore&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.changiairport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Changi Airport<\/a>\u00a0is a major international hub with direct connections to and from anywhere in the Asia Pacific region as well as the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. It is served by all\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.changiairport.com\/en\/flights\/airlines.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">major airlines<\/a>\u00a0as well as many budget airlines such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flyscoot.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scoot<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jetstar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jetstar<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.airasia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AirAsia<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/book.goindigo.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IndiGo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please familiarize yourself with the Singapore\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fass.nus.edu.sg\/methods-school\/travel\/international\/\" rel=\"noopener\">immigration and customs<\/a>\u00a0regulations!<\/p>\n<h2>Getting to NUS<\/h2>\n<p>If this is your first time in Singapore, you might want to take a taxi or hail a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grab.com\/sg\/\" target=\"new\">Grab<\/a> ride to the NUS Kent Ridge campus and UTown. Fares to campus can range from S$25 to S$45 depending on the time of your arrival and traffic. All Singapore taxis accept credit cards.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, you can take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lta.gov.sg\/content\/ltagov\/en\/getting_around\/public_transport\/rail_network.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)<\/a> subway from the Changi Airport MRT station. Board the train to Tanah Merah MRT station and transfer to the Tuas Link-bound <em>East-West Line<\/em> (green) train. Now you have multiple options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Get off at Buona Vista MRT station and take <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbstransit.com.sg\/Service\/BusService\" target=\"new\">SBS Transit<\/a> bus <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/T4oXFnHYq5N2\" target=\"new\">#196<\/a> to UTown or <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/qp3ascgWxur\" target=\"new\">#95<\/a> to the main campus.<\/li>\n<li>Get off at Clementi MRT station and take SBS Transit bus <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/5PscH4aVBm32\" target=\"new\">#96<\/a> from the Clementi bus interchange or <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/rjwqCCeKxmR2\" target=\"new\">#183<\/a> from below the MRT station to UTown or the main campus.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer at Buona Vista MRT station to the Harbour Front-bound <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/RBEzbcQNJM32\" target=\"new\"><em>Circle Line<\/em> (orange) train<\/a> and get off at NUS&#8217; very own Kent Ridge MRT station.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you decide to take public transportation, we recommend that you use your <a href=\"https:\/\/simplygo.transitlink.com.sg\/\" target=\"new\">contactless credit or debit card<\/a> or buy an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ezlink.com.sg\/get-your-ez-link-card\/where-the-cards-are-sold\" target=\"new\">EZ-Link<\/a> stored-value smart card at the Changi Airport or any other MRT station. EZ-Link cards are not only convenient, but offer reduces fares, free transfers, and can even be used to pay at many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ezlink.com.sg\/where-to-use\" target=\"new\">restaurants and convenience stores<\/a> or for copying on campus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Getting around <a href=\"http:\/\/map.nus.edu.sg\/\" target=\"new\">Campus<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>All of Methods School venues are within easy walking distance of each other, and most walkways are covered to protect you from the sun and occasional showers. There are also eleven <a href=\"https:\/\/uci.nus.edu.sg\/oca\/transport-logistics-carpark\/getting-around-nus\/\" target=\"new\">NUS-internal Shuttle Bus Service<\/a> lines. The shuttle buses are free, run frequently, and connect all corners of the campus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Getaways<\/h2>\n<p>If you have additional time before or after the Methods School, Singapore is the perfect base for exploring (Southeast) Asia, with most of the region&#8217;s countries and tourist attractions less than 2 hours away by plane, ferry, bus, or train.
