As with most countries,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ica.gov.sg\/enteringanddeparting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">immigration officials at the port of entry make the final determination<\/a>\u00a0and consider each case on its own merits.<\/p>\n<p>With this in mind, please be aware that all Methods School participants are classified as &#8216;<em>participants<\/em>&#8216; and not as students. The IPSA-NUS Summer School for Social Science Research Methods is not a degree-granting institution, and Methods School participants are not enrolled at the National University of Singapore. Please do not confuse or alarm\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ica.gov.sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Immigration &amp; Checkpoints Authority (ICA)<\/a>\u00a0officials by referring to yourself as a NUS student in connection with your participation in the Methods School and the attendant purpose of travel to Singapore. Always identify yourself as a seminar or workshop participant.<\/p>\n<h2>Visas<\/h2>\n<p>Most Methods School participants can enter Singapore without a visa for up to 90 days. All you need is a passport that is valid for at least another 6 months and a completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ica.gov.sg\/enter-transit-depart\/entering-singapore\/sg-arrival-card\">SG Arrival Card with electronic health declaration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Participants holding travel documents issued by one of approx. 30 countries require a visa to enter Singapore. If your country is on this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ica.gov.sg\/visitor\/visitor_entryvisa\" target=\"new\">list of countries<\/a>, you need to apply for a short-term social visit entry visa (not a Student&#8217;s Pass!) at your nearest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mfa.gov.sg\/Overseas-Missions\/Find-A-Singapore-Overseas-Mission\" target=\"new\">Singapore Overseas Mission<\/a> or through an Authorized Visa Agent before coming to Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>The names and contact details of visa agents can be found on the websites of individual Singapore Overseas Missions.
