Special Prize (for Buddhist Studies)
Khyentse Foundation (KF) is donating a sum of US$1500 annually to be shared among students as a recognition of distinction and hard work in the field of Buddhist Studies.
Basis of Award: Academic excellence in Buddhist Studies
Eligibility
Having read and passed or reading at least 1 of the following courses during the current academic year:
- HY3262 Enlightenment in the Tropics: Buddhism Below the Winds
- HY2265 Enlightenment on the Move: Buddhism’s Global Journeys
- PH3208 Buddhist Philosophy
- PH4208/PH4208HM Topics in Buddhism
- SE3224 Thai Drawing and Painting
The prize is awarded to the top student(s) who have taken at least 1 of the above-mentioned courses in their studies at NUS. There is a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 prizes awarded depending on the number of courses offered in the AY. The amount of each cash prize shall be determined per AY, with a minimum of US$250 and a maximum of US$375. The total value of prizes awarded in any AY shall not exceed US$1500.
Students are not required to apply for the prize. The selection is done by the Office.
