You can obtain a MA entirely through coursework. You can seek a MA through research. You can enrol for a PhD (research-based).<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>MA in Contemporary Southeast Asia coursework programme<\/strong> is a unique graduate degree option designed both for post-graduate students and for working professionals who wish to enrich their careers through the pursuit of an advanced degree. The prime objective of this course is to offer a solid understanding of contemporary Southeast Asia. Students are exposed to a variety of scholarly perspectives that will give them a more focused understanding of Southeast Asia\u2019s past, present, and futures through a focus on natural environment, cultural landscapes, and political economy. As a graduate of our new MA in Contemporary Southeast Asia, you will be equipped with the knowledge and analytical skills you need to deepen your participation in ongoing global conversations.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>MA and PhD research programmes<\/strong>\u00a0provide post-graduate training for individuals who will contribute to knowledge production in and about Southeast Asia. You will be taught by highly rated staff whose expertise lies in fields ranging from history, economics and political science to anthropology, cultural studies, and archaeology. Our inter-disciplinary structure exposes students to the latest theoretical and methodological issues while also ensuring deep immersion in regional specificities.
