\n\t\tAcademic Requirements\n\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCohort 2021 onwards\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCohort 2019 to 2020\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCohort 2016 to 2018\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\tCohort 2021 onwards\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Pass at least 40 Units of SE and SE-recognised courses, which include:<\/p>\n

  1. SE1101E<\/li>\n
  2. a minimum of 12 Units of Southeast Asian language courses (i.e. Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Thai or Vietnamese)<\/li>\n
  3. a minimum of 16 Units at level-3000 or higher (excluding language courses)<\/li>\n
  4. a maximum of 8 Units SE-recognised courses (excluding language courses)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note 1: Students are allowed to read level-4000 courses subject to departmental approval.<\/p>\n

    Note 2: All the language requirements will normally be in only\u00a0ONE<\/strong> language track, i.e., Bahasa Indonesia or Malay or Thai or Vietnamese. The language courses will be offered by the Centre for Language Studies. Under certain circumstances, students may be allowed to transfer to another SE language track. Please refer to the\u00a0Policy on Reading SE Language Modules<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tCohort 2019 to 2020\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    1. Pass SE1101E. This will be counted towards the Faculty Core or UE requirements.<\/p>\n

    2. Pass at least 36 Units of SE and SE-recognised courses, which include:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. a minimum of 12 Units of Southeast Asian language courses (i.e. Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Thai or Vietnamese)<\/li>\n
    2. a minimum of 16 Units at level-3000 or higher (excluding language courses)<\/li>\n
    3. a maximum of 8 Units SE-recognised courses (excluding language courses)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
