Research Interest:   Religion, Culture, Identity and Bodily Experiences

My academic interests lie in religion, culture, identity and bodily experiences. I situate my studies in religio-cultural trends such as the Islamic Resurgence and Arabisation of Malay culture, and plan to study its impact on Malay identities and the motivations to follow and resist such trends. Outside of these research interests, I like football, dystopian films and hiphop.
