Research Interest:  Inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations within the South Asian diaspora, cultural politics of identity, the nexus between religion and politics of the state, styles of millennial religiosity, and inter-generational transmission of ethnicity and religiosity in diasporic communities, among others.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Sociology with Highest Distinction at Nanyang Technological University. My research interests include inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations within the South Asian diaspora, cultural politics of identity, the nexus between religion and politics of the state, styles of millennial religiosity, and inter-generational transmission of ethnicity and religiosity in diasporic communities, among others. For My Master’s thesis, I intend to do research on the religious life of Singaporean Muslims of the Indian Diaspora, explore practices and beliefs that are specific to Indian Muslims, as well as the sociopolitical configurations in society that could have shaped or are re-shaping them. Feel free to contact me if my research interests you.
