Research Interests: Militarization, Colonialism, Tourism, Knowledge production

I am a PhD student in Anthropology at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, National University of Singapore. Before joining NUS, I obtained my Master's degree in International and Development Studies at Geneva Graduate Institute. In addition to my research, I serve as an editor for Ship and Wind (Fune to Kaze), an online journal published by young scholars and activists in Japan.

My research interests include militarization, tourism, and knowledge production. Specifically, my work investigates how Okinawa's militarized reality is obfuscated by extensive tourism development, with a focus on the transformation of local sense of place, labor, and identity.
