Research Interest:  Gender, Migration, Singlehood, Qualitative Methods

I am a current Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, National University of Singapore. Prior to my Ph.D. study, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and later my Master’s degree in Gender Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

My dissertation focuses on Chinese single skilled migrants in Singapore, with a particular focus on the intersections between transnational mobility and transforming gender dynamics. I also study international student migration and stay-at-home motherhood across borders.
