Research Interests: Pastoralism and mobility; Environmental governance and land use; Inner Asia (Inner Mongolia); Infrastructure and spatial practice

Sunaer is a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology and Sociology at the National University of Singapore. She holds an MSc in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh.

Her research interests include the social and ecological transformations of pastoral communities in China, with a focus on how pastoral communities sustain mobile livelihoods amid ongoing environmental and policy change. She is also currently working on a project examining digital inclusion and disaster governance in rural communities.

She also serves as a Teaching Assistant for SC2209 Money, Business and Social Networks.
