She is affiliated with the Center for Family and Population Research (CFPR) as a research scholar under the project of Singapore Longitudinal Early Development Study (SG LEADS). Shuya earned her M.A. degree in Social Science \u2013 Demographic and Social Analysis, and two B.A. degrees in Sociology and Education from University of California, Irvine. Her research focuses on family and children, marriage patterns, international migration, and gender inequality.<\/p>\n<strong>Dissertation:<\/strong><br \/>\nShuya\u2019s doctoral research used the data from Singapore Longitudinal Early Development Study (SGLEADS) to examine the family dynamics in cross-national families in Singapore.
