Research Interest:\u00a0 <\/em>Diaspora, Gender and Feminist Studies, Migration, Mobilities, Gender-Based Violence<\/p>\r\n

Radhika Mathrani Chakraborty is a fourth-year PhD student at the Department of Sociology, NUS. Her research interests include gender and feminist studies, diaspora, migration and gender-based violence. Her doctoral research will undertake a gendered analysis of the Sindhi business diaspora in Hong Kong. Radhika has a Master\u2019s degree in Women\u2019s Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and has previously worked with state-based services for women survivors of violence.<\/p>\r\n

My research project focuses on the diasporic experiences and ties of the Hindu Sindhi community in Hong Kong. I explore gendered dimensions of business diaspora, with particular attention to local and translocal diasporic networks and articulations Work Experience:<\/strong>
