My research centers on the dynamics of romantic and intergenerational relationships within families, with a focus on assortative mating, social mobility, and subjective well-being. I am also interested in the demographic trends within the East Asian context. Prior to joining NUS, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Nanjing university and a Master of Arts from University of Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>My doctoral thesis focuses on how individuals&#8217; subjective well-being is contingent upon relationship dynamics, including intergenerational mobility between parents and adult children, and status comparison and dyadic interaction between spouses.
