The award is governed by the following conditions:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Subject to rule 3 below, the prize is awarded to the best Master of Social Sciences student, in the Department of Sociology&#8217;s research programme, with the highest GPA score, of at least 4.00.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Eligible students will be those who have completed required coursework (i.e. 4 courses) in a given year.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>If there are candidates of equal merit, the award will be equally divided between them.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Students with module exemptions will not be eligible for the prize.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The award will be made by the Board of Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the relevant Board of Examiners.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>This gift shall be governed by the University Statutes and Regulations, specifically, Statute 7 on Gifts to the University and the corresponding Regulation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>\n\t\tGraduate Awards and Prizes (Department-Level)\n\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-0\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\">ANANDA RAJAH PRIZE<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-0\" tabindex=\"-1\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Best\u00a0Masters\u00a0Thesis in Sociology\/Anthropology\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Best PhD Thesis in Sociology\/Anthropology\u00a0<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Awards and Prizes &#8211; Graduate Graduate Awards and Prizes Graduate Awards and Prizes (University-Level) LEE FOUNDATION PRIZE Expand Donated in 1998 by the Lee Foundation, a cash prize, valued at $200, is awarded from the proceeds of a capital sum of $15,000.
