\n\t\tGraduate Awards and Prizes (University-Level)\n\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\tLEE FOUNDATION PRIZE<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExpand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Donated in 1998 by the Lee Foundation, a cash prize, valued at $200, is awarded from the proceeds of a capital sum of $15,000. The award is governed by the following conditions:\u00a0<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Subject to rule 3 below, the prize is awarded to the best Master of Social Sciences student, in the Department of Sociology’s research programme, with the highest GPA score, of at least 4.00.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  2. Eligible students will be those who have completed required coursework (i.e. 4 courses) in a given year.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  3. No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  4. If there are candidates of equal merit, the award will be equally divided between them.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  5. Students with module exemptions will not be eligible for the prize.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  6. The award will be made by the Board of Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the relevant Board of Examiners.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  7. This gift shall be governed by the University Statutes and Regulations, specifically, Statute 7 on Gifts to the University and the corresponding Regulation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
