Research Interest: Social Policy; Inequality; Work and Family; Population Studies<\/em><\/p>\n

Before joining NUS, Mingqian worked at multiple NGOs in health policy, international humanitarian aid, and cybersecurity, conducting research and administering projects to improve human life quality, security, and democracy. Mingqian holds a master’s degree in Social Policy from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.<\/p>\n

Research:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mingqian’s current research projects aim to study modern family life and couples’ ways of living and working, exploring potential policy remedies for fostering gender equality, affordable childrearing, and physical and mental well-being. Mingqian aspires to use concrete data and evidence to support policymaking and implementation. Outside of work, Mingqian values personal wellness; she is a certified personal trainer and coffee lover.<\/p>\n\tContact Info<\/strong>
