She obtained her bachelor&#8217;s degree, majoring in English Literature with an emphasis on independent research projects, jointly from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Australian National University (ANU). After graduation, she worked as a news editor and producer for CNA938 under Mediacorp, and then as a research assistant at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) Social Lab, where she was involved in quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods studies.<\/p>\n<strong>Research:<\/strong><br \/>\nFor her master&#8217;s thesis, Samantha will adopt an ethnographic approach to study the phenomenon of stray\/community cat feeding in Singapore. Broadly, she is interested in multispecies coexistence in urban settings, including how spaces are co-constructed and how discourses around animals&#8217; embodied presence are managed and contested. While at IPS, Samantha undertook research relating to a range of topics, including race and religion, immigrant integration, disability services provision, and youth financial attitudes and behaviours, among others.\n\t<strong><br \/>\nPublications:<\/strong>\n<p>Teo, K.
