Before my Ph.D. study, I obtained my bachelor&#8217;s degree in Sociology from the University of British Columbia and later my Master&#8217;s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago.<\/p>\r\n<p>My research focuses on how civic participation shapes identity formation and integration among Chinese female migrants in Singapore. Through qualitative methods, I explore how volunteering and other civic activities facilitate the negotiation and transformation of migrants&#8217; identities as they navigate between their home and adopted countries.
