\n\tResearch Interest: Gender, Migration, Civic Participation, Qualitative Methods<\/em><\/p>\n I am a current Ph.D. student in Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, National University of Singapore. Before my Ph.D. study, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of British Columbia and later my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago.<\/p>\n My research focuses on how civic participation shapes identity formation and integration among Chinese female migrants in Singapore. Through qualitative methods, I explore how volunteering and other civic activities facilitate the negotiation and transformation of migrants’ identities as they navigate between their home and adopted countries.
