Research Interest:   Productive Aging, Health, Gender, Inequality, China

I am a Sociology PhD student affiliated to the Center for Family and Population Research at NUS. My research interests include aging, health and life course, gender and sexuality, as well as medical sociology. Currently I am specifically interested in the transition of family structure and productive aging in China. Before joining NUS, I obtained my Bachelor and Master’s degree of Sociology at Tsinghua University.

Dissertation:
I am working on productive aging in China and potential gender-based inequalities for my doctoral dissertation. I try to understand if and how older women are further marginalized under the call for productivity in old ages, and how Chinese society could manage population aging better.
