Research Topic: Family, Work, Division of Labor, Marriage, Childbearing, Gender, Quantitative Studies

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Family Studies (with high distinction) from the University of British Columbia (UBC). During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a research assistant on projects about trust, international students’ experiences, digital labor, and care and work policies in Canada and spent an academic year as a teaching assistant in Family Studies courses. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sociology at the National University of Singapore. My current research examines the typology of childbearing motivations in contemporary China through the lens of the Value of Children framework.
