Singapore’s Connections with Asia and the World, a Workshop
March 13, 2013
Thursday, March 21st 2013, 9am – 1pm at AS7, Shaw Foundation Building, Seminar Room B
Singapore’s Connections with Asia and the World addresses Singapore’s diverse connectivities within the region and around the world. Without the luxury of geographic resources and physical land mass, Singapore’s social, economic and cultural diversity has nevertheless enabled the city-state multiple access across the globe. This workshop will critically and creatively explore the myriad ways Singapore has transformed itself from a nation state with no hinterland into a ‘network state’ plugged into the relentless flows of people, information, technology and investments, as well as the ramifications of such intense connectivities.
