Dr. Gwee Li Sui, former senior tutor in our ELL department and a friend of the SRN (Gwee directed our 2012 SRN-produced documentary film ‘Writers Engaging the Social’ http://youtu.be/yxggMumdQnU ) was recently featured in the Straits Times asked about the books he’s reading. He is also giving an ongoing series at The Arts House, Sing Lit 101: How to Read A Singaporean Poem, introduces a major English poem in the local literary canon on Saturdays.
