‘Public seminar on Singaporean Mandarin as 1,000 terms selected for online database’ (The Straits Times, October 2022) mentions Associate Professor Tham Shiao Wei (NUS Chinese Studies), who will speak in a PMC-organised public seminar – Selat to Singapore: A Conversation on Singaporean Mandarin – in October this year. The public seminar will take place on October 29 from 10:30 am to noon at The Pod, National Library Building.
